The recommended process is to review the health literacy video, then complete the Teach Back Questions.

The video can be viewed below or at this link.

After watching the introductory Health Literacy in Clinical Research video, answer the following Teach Back Questions to re-enforce key takeaways.

  1. What are 3 concepts that are included under the umbrella of health literacy?
  2. What are at 2 factors that can lower a person’s health literacy level?
  3. What are 5 reasons why health literacy is important in the context of clinical research?
  4. What are 4 ways health literacy can be applied throughout the clinical research life cycle?

Finally, we have created the Before and After Example Exercise to show you how health literacy can be integrated into patient-facing research materials. This will also give you a chance to practice what you’ve learned.
