Josh Smith-Sreen joined the MRCT Center as a Student Researcher in the spring of 2019, focusing primarily on the Center’s project focusing on the Representation of Diverse Populations in clinical research. Josh has varied experience ranging from basic science research to epidemiology to international health & development. This past summer, he conducted epidemiological research as an Amgen Scholar at the National Cancer Institute’s Division of Cancer Epidemiology and Genetics (DCEG), examining health disparities in premature cancer mortality across US subpopulations and internationally.
Josh will graduate from Boston University in May 2019 with a BA in Biology and minor in International Relations. He is also pursuing his Master of Public Health degree from the Boston University School of Public Health, with dual concentrations in Epidemiology & Biostatistics as well as Global Health Program Design, Monitoring and Evaluation, with an expected completion in May 2020.
